Hi!

If I'm creating profiles in high pr forums, does it count as a high pr link? or the profile's url is only N/A-1 PR?

Thanks!

You only get keyword/link authority from the PR of the actual page. But you gain extra 'trust-rank' from the PR of the domain.

So a PR 1 page on a PR6 domain is worth more as an authority link than a PR1 page on a PR3 domain. But for pure keyword/search ranking, they're almost identical, as PR plays very little part in ranking position.

Thanks Bro.
The authority that passes can grant my site more PR, is it essential...? or not that much this days?

I'm gonna guess you are manually building these links, right?

If so, quit wasting your time. They are low quality links and you
can outsource it for dirt cheap. There are literally hundreds of
providers that build forum profiles.

Like Jon said, don't waste your time. Outsource it if you really want
forum profile links.

Don't worry, I didn't do it yet, just came across the backlink type and wanted to know if it is worth adding it to my strategy..

Thanks a lot buddies!

Wouldn't say so. Sure forum profiles are low quality backlinks, but a backlink is still a backlink.

You can say what you want, but you're wrong.
Backlink is a backlink is a stupid thing to say to be honest.
With Panda and the many upates, a shit link like that has very little value. And as the above poster said, he's probably doing it manually and has a handful of them. Sure if you do some type of tier linking it can benefit, but surely not what the OP has in mind.

If a backlink is a backlink, why don't I just get 5,000,000 profile links and rank #1 for Viagra?

1 more thing dude,
if I can automate the process of creating high PR forum profiles( it can be done with xrumer 7?)
would my money site benefit from the links pointing directly to it or should I use it as another backlinks layer to my buffer web2.0 sites?

Thanks!

Where did I say profile backlinks should be your one and only source of backlinks? Where did I say millions of profile backlinks will push your site to the top? I didn't, so please stop misinterpreting what I said.
I just said a backlink is still a backlink and this is true. Profile backlinks can add some backlink diversity to a site, which is always a good idea.

My mistake. A backlink with no value, is still a backlink with no value. You were correct.

Yep indeed your mistake. You seem to have a reading comprehension problem.
In my first posting, I already wrote profile links are low quality backlinks. But you totally ignored that part of my posting and started with crap like 5 million profile backlinks yadda yadda. It's somehow hard to understand for me, how you could come up with a stupid conclusion like this from my statement. But whatever.

What's hard to understand? "A backlink is a backlink" is just stupid to say.
