    Hey All,

New to this site and a bit new to SEO & different link building strategies, however not new to start-ups. I redeveloped a re-commerce website and have been marketing via Google Adwords as well as experimenting with other methods of advertising such as CPM. Earlier in the month I checked out Fiverr and decided to try out one of their gigs since they are so cheap. I purchased a gig that blasts out your ad to "1500 classified ads". I paid $10 ($5 extra for expedited service), and received better daily results then I normally do. Buying this gig boosted the number of sign-ups for one day, and more than half of those sign-ups created orders thus I made money. I also noticed a boost in my search engine ranking to the top in my niche for certain keywords. I was already fairly high before though. The thing is this boost in traffic/sign-ups only lasted for one day and then fell off. I have read before about Fiverr gigs that they create too many back-links too quickly, and can actually damage your SEO ranking. The problem is that I received such great results that I wan't to continue buying this gig, but I don't want my rank to go down because of it. Being that I am relatively new to link building & SEO I wanted to get your guys opinion on the gig. I just purchased it again about two days ago and received pretty decent results again. I would like to purchase it more often but as stated, I don't want to be banned from Google search or anything :(. The gig has thousands of reviews with most being positive.

I cant link the gig but here is the description text:

I can send your ad to more than 1,500+ network classifieds for just $5.00. Must have a URL for me to send your ads. Text ads only. No images or HTML. Receipt & screenshot provided as proof. Link report available for Gig Extras only. NO dating or sexually-related sites, scams or illegal ads. To avoid delays, please pay attention to the gig instructions.
    Thanks

Well we purchase and re-sell goods and about 85% of the users who signed up from the classifieds blast placed quotes, with about half of those actually sending their goods in for a sale. Overall the ROI is positive due to the low cost for the gig.

Nice! Yeah you can just Google the description text. Just wondering if using the gig too often would have negative effect on my search engine rank

Depends how fresh the site is and how you care about it from a long term point of view.

If its a brand new site and you post 1,000 listing links, its probably a signal things are not natural.

If your site is established and you have a good number of pages, existing link profile and you target a sub folder page you can probably get away with it.

that's an inventive way of self promotion you have there ...

if you'd put as much thought into other stuff too...

The site has been up to two years now so and we did some other advertising before this. Hopefully if I do this gig about once or twice a week I should be fine.
