Hi.I have been a while away from IM. I was thinking that I can register an expired domain with PR of 4 or 5, I install worpress on it, put some original articles and promote some affiliate programs. My question is: Does that PR will stick and help me rank high for the keywords I am targeting or is useless?

Yes, It will help. But you need to buy Expired domain which is related to your Niche. Site with PR is not important, the site must have decent backlinks, Page and Domain Authority.

Buy domain with the same niche you want to promote your aff programs and make sure that links for that website are trusted, somehow naturally gained, not from private network or sth like this because you migh lose them quickly. If links are ok PR will stick for sure.

    Definitely works.

However, remember to verify the domain PR by manually checking the back links and other domain metrics, namely - Majestic Seo Citation and Trust Flow, Moz Domain Authority and Moz Rank. Check if the site is still indexed in google by using the queries "site:domain.tld" and "info:domain.tld"

PR can stuck if you put a bit of research before buying expired domains. I would suggest better get some Expiring domains with PR and age...

Domain age is probably a bigger factor for this purpose, although PR will most certainly help.

Just try to get a domain related to the niche you're after.
