Hello bhw, firstly i apologize if paragraphs wont show here, i dont know why it doesnt?!? Anyway, i have a site that has the EXACT same competitors in google.co.uk AND google.com. Yesterday my site took number 1 spot in .co.uk while in .com its in 2nd place. Since the competition i the same on both googles, do you think i can rank number 1 on google.com also??

The number of competitors you have means absolutely nothing. What you need to do is look at the sites on the first page and decide if you can beat them or not, they are the only ones that matter. My guess is that unless the term is something that gets used a lot more in the UK that the competition in the US is going to be stiffer.

Can't say with certainty how hard it will be to get from #2 to #1 in the .com It is possible that your competitors simply weren't as optimized for the .co.uk or that you were more optimized for .co.uk than .com (things like where the site is hosted, if the domain itself is .com, .co.uk or something else, the TLD of the domains linking to the site, where those backlinking sites are hosted...) Either way, you should be able to do it with time if you know what you're doing.
