Hoping you guys can give an opinion on this. Let's say I want part of my portfolio to consist of maybe 50 or so churn and burn sites. Stuff I know will only last a short time, but is designed to bank while it's working. G deindexes eventually, rinse repeat.

Obviously, I don't want these on the same shared hosting account as my legit stuff. How many sites would you put per hosting account? I would guess you'd treat this like a PBN of sorts. You don't want too many of these on the same A class IP so that if one is deindexed, G doesn't whack all of your sites.

As a followup question, would it be safe to have your legit PBN at the same host, but maybe a different account? I assume it's all about the footprints you leave and less about (to a degree) the IP address. Is that thinking in the ballpark?

You can have more than 1 money site on shared hosting, specially if they are in different niches. Make sure you use whois privacy just to avoid any footprints.

I will never host my PBN site and money site on same hosting account.

PBN and money sites on the same host? That's unwise and I would avoid doing that even if they'll be placed in different accounts. I would put 10 sites on each hosting account and keep my PBN sites as far away as possible from my money sites with regard to hosting.

There is no definitive answer to this, I like the old phrase "better safe than sorry" but with shared hosting environments you can squeeze a lot more on there as places like hostgator cram as many sites as possible per IP which makes it a little less obvious, as someone else commented use domain privacy and use different domain registrars.
