    Hi there,

I am new to media buying and would like to know why people would use sitescout or buysellads over Google display network?

You can enter specific sites in Google display network so why not sure find the right sites to advertise on it and done it through Google as you do not need a minimum deposit or anything and can control your budget very well?

Or am I missing something really obvious?

    Thanks :).

A lot of sites are not part of the Google display network.

If you are looking to expand you should look for all traffic sources.

In addition, other ad networks can be cheaper.

    Thanks for the reply.

I realise that alright just was not sure if I was missing something really obvious!

Do you recommend buysellads as a good starting point with Google display network?

    Thanks.

Whether for website traffic or buying ads, it's always a good idea to have your eggs in several baskets - google slaps many advertisers, if you look around on the forum you can read plenty of threads where goog has closed accounts overnight, no reason, no notice. With buysellads, you need to have a good look at the site, and see how it fits the demographic of what you're trying to sell - I've had some big winners and some big losers.

    Hi,

It really depends on what you are promoting.

The key is where are the websites that are most relevant and target them.

In the past I have had several ecommerce sites.

As an example one sold phones, the other sold Twitter followers.

The Phones made a killing on Google but nothing on BSA.
The Twitter followers a killing on BSA and nothing on Google.

Horses for courses, unless I know what you are promoting I am afraid I cannot really be of any more help.

I will not Recommend Buysellads as i made much less than money i burned with them or unless you have a good ad buying sense
