Can I post a link safely to my website in my posts if it's not directly an affiliate link? The site itself is a shop. How do I minimize the chance of ban?
    Thanks a lot! :)

I own a site which is an e-shop in the same niche as my tumblr. I'm wondering if I can post links to it on my tumblr without getting banned.

I just think that Tumblr is not safe. It doesn't matter what you do.
It's a service where you must expect a ban at any time.
It's probable that the chance of getting banned decreases if you've build a legit blog, without offers, and without spamming the same links pointing to the same target.

But... at any time, you'll deserve a ban for no reason. Sadly Tumblr is driven by idiots.

Create another blog with different ip and create posts with links there and on your main account only reblog the posts.
If you plan to use the same domain often, short the link to prevent your domain being banned by tumblr.

I think a better question is "Is what the OP proposing against the Tumblr TOS?" However, it seems what you're implying is that following the TOS to the T won't even guarantee that your blog will be deleted which, from what I gather here, seems to be the case.

Of course you can make a post with a link to your site.

Can you make a link to your site in every single post? In 90% of posts..... well probably not, not for too long anyway

I've seen plenty of posts with links on tumblr....

pretty sure it's fine as long as you don't spam it on every post.

but to be on the safe side, you can also create a second blog and reblog it.
