    Hello-

MassPlanner has a rss feed capability to automate content posting.

My question is, would it be possible to setup a totally automatic
    content scrapper with IFTTT?
    Below is an example:

For example, would it be possible to set up a IFTTT recipe for
instagram that pulls content from a specific user account, post
that content to tumblr account and use the RSS feed from the
tumblr account to post to Mass Planner via it's RSS function?

I really can't think of a better way to do this because MassPlanner
does not have a image scrapping tool built in.

    Is there a better way?

From my experience with MP that seems like the best way, even though using the RSS feeds section (under what to publish) does have some limitations. Another possibility depending on how it comes in- is to use IFTTT to send it to Pinterest instead of Tumblr and then use the Flicker/Pinterest source to pull pins from a specific Pinterest user into your post list. Let us know what works out.
