    Hey all.

So I'm pretty sure one of my sites was hit by Penguin 2.0, as I've lost all of my keywords and traffic is obviously way down. I never really tired to sort it out as I thought I'd just wait and see what everyone else did. So I moved onto ranking YouTube videos. Anyway, my question is:

If I post a new article on the site targeting another keyword in the niche and try to rank it, will the fact that my other pages have been hit hurt my ranking ability for that one page?

Thanks for any advice you guys can give me.

Perhaps this will not answer your question but, why take a risk on putting an article to a penalized site? I think it is better to make another site and put your article their and rank it. its much easier and safer.

If your site is penalized, it's not individual pages\content that is screwed, it's your domain. If you have Google webmaster tools verified with your site, you'll see a "notice.. you're fucked because we rule, bend over and take it" message.

When you understand if you were penalized for sure, and for what (they give a canned statement), you would be better off registering a new domain and providing the content you are\going to work on towards that.

People who say they've done it before for money sites that had a hiccup but were big producers, aren't going to make things right without at least an initial up-front fee.

Yeah I thought about just throwing this site away and starting a fresh one.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I actually didn't get any message through webmaster tools. That's why I'm not too sure what's going on.

So I just ran my site and all it's targeted keywords through a keyword rank tracker and I'm seeing all my results on pages 11-30. I guess it happened because I stopped backlinking about a month ago. But also I'm pretty sure I need to link through more domains (I only have about 9 or 10 domains linking in for about 90 high PR backlinks per page) and more blog comments (I had none when I was hit).

Can anyone recommend some good blog commenting service that is safe to point at my money site? Or should I stick to doing it manually? I'm just REALLY burned out on building backlinks.
