I have a site which was on first page for 20+ KW and it got hit few days ago by manual penalty ( buying links to manipulate PR.... )
Now i want to redirect it to new domain to pass link juice to new one and i wanna do it proper, so am asking

    1. should i redirect post by post to new one (they are identical) example : oldsite.com/post1 --> newsite.com/post1
    2. or should i just redirect whole domain to new

what option is better according to your experience ?

I think it doesn't matter. If you had a penalty, that's bad for old site. New domain has no relation to the old site. You can do redirect to any page (url) you want.

You should redirect page by page...so you are redirecting a specific page from old site to relevant specific page on the new site.

Though you must be prepared for the penalty at the new site soon :)

    thanks :)

How long does it take for penalty to be passed via 301 ?
is it possible to get link juice and cut of the redirection after some time before penalty pass or or its already set for passing from the moment you redirect ?

Nobody can you tell you the Exact time for ranking and penalty though 301.

In my experience, It takes around 3 weeks to see the impact..and you would enjoy ranking up to 6 weeks from the date of redirect..

After that you might loose it all..

But as I said, Its not fixed.

Its churn and burn site anyway
with 6 weeks of ranking i would be pretty satisfied with enough profit and next one prepared :)

thanks for the info you helped me a lot
