I had a campaign I started the morning of the 24th. It went good, I hit the amount I wanted to spend for my testing. Pulled it out of my testing account, put it in my permanent account the morning of the 25th, and when I inserted it, it is showing a QS of 2 now instead of 8!

It has the same exact everything; keywords, ad text, website, etc.

    WTF happened?

The only thing I can think of is that you CTR went up for some reason

My CTR? Why would that affect my QS? I didn't even get a chance to run it in my new account because it was so bad! They wanted $1.00+ bids when I was only paying about $0.12 before!

you moved from one account to the other..QS takes into account different account standings (dont ask me how though) - why dont you just take it back to your "testing" account?

You probably had a manual review (because of good QS/CTR) and therefore u were fuked.

When their automated system makes a mistake and slams you for qs of 1 they won't manually review your site they'll just quote TOS and say improve your site.

OK, I got that out of my system now ...

So how long does that score stick? The web site I am advertising definitely deserves a higher QS than 2. lol

I actually thought that course was pretty much rehashed junk. I understand quality score, but not sure how it managed to go from an 8 to a 2 almost instantaneously.

    The answer is manual review.

    My explanation is:

The bot check your site, gives you a high QS, but flags it for manual review (like it does many times)

Manual reviewer vists your site, sees somethng he does not like and slaps you.

Yep, can't be any other reason aside of Manual Review.

Try with different Keyword and different adtext, if you still get low QS then there is high possibility you get slap. If so, you should think about moving your site to a new domain and give a better design for the reviewer's eye.

Add Picture or headers will help.

google will tell you very very little. seems like there is 'initial QS' done when you upload a new campaign, then 24 hours later there is a 'followup QS'. It seems that bot activity determines followup QS, but we've also seen the manual review as well. High performing campaigns stopped for 2 hours, then started again, but at what appears a fraction of the original volume

I also had an campaign where i got QS of 7 initially but when i checked it after 24 hours it is 4.

I am running adwords campaign on Poll factory type site with only one keyword with three combinations.

G thinks you're copying somebody else's campaigns. Test your campaigns in the same account and if the campaign doesn't work, just delete it and start again.
