[QN]How does one rank well for a photography website? Seeking advice.

    Seeking for SEO gurus out there. How does a photography website (usually loaded with tonnes of images but little text) rank well for their keywords?

    As far as On Page Optimization, alt tags are the first option.

    Image names, alt tags, descriptions keyword rich. Google spiders cannot read images, that is also why all these tags exist. Then the usual backlinks, and you should be fine (you're also competing with other sites that don't have much text content, just see how they are doing it).

    ok.. that make sense.. unless the other sites places text on their page, that would be an advantage over one who have purely images?
