Does a IG shoutout of a PIC or Video is the same as shoutout of a Giveaway in terms of pricing?

Asking that because i don't want to sound like a noob when asking for prices.

    Thanks!

It all depends on the seller, don't be ashamed of sounding like a noob. It's better to get all the information you need before you make a decision.

This is the internet after all, it's not like you're ever going to meet any of these people..

    Never apologize for learning.

Honestly I don't think it really matters what the shoutout contains. Usually pricing is based upon duration, bio link, and number of impressions that the influencer has.

I've always been interested in buying shoutouts - but how do I approach certain accounts?

Do I just DM them on Instagram?

Furthermore, how do I pay them? Do I just send the money over and hope they deliver.. or is it a use PayPal for protection sort of deal?

Usually you can use places like shout cart etc to find accounts that you want to purchase a shoutout from and then DM them on Instagram. I usually use PayPal to pay and pay 50% in advance and 50% after the post is up. You can also pay all at once depending on the price. PayPal is pretty good about jacking your money for you on command lol.

Most of them ask to send paypal funds as a family & friends. Be shure to include in your DM that you want to test their audience and that you'll get more, this way you reduce risks of scam.

Most of them provide what you want cause they want you to come back for more.

That's what i'm trying to do, not sound like a noob when i aproach them so that i reduce the risk of scamming .

From your experience, a giveaway shoutout can send me more conversions than a normal PIC/Video?

I kind of disagree. First impressions matter a lot when you want to do business with people. It's completely okay to ask a few questions, about rates and so on. But if you're badgering the influencer as if you haven't a clue about what this all entails, it's off-putting and could get you ignored. We're extremely busy and many of us deal with at least 5-10 people inquiring about our services daily. Not to mention having to make sure we're getting posts out on all of our accounts and having to filter through all the nonsense we get via DM from our 'fans' + whatever is going on IRL.

Never, ever just send money unless there's some sort of agreement to do a post for you! What usually happens is you email/DM/Kik the influencer, ask their rates, they tell you and ask what you're promoting, you tell them what you're promoting and ask for their PayPal, they provide their PayPal and ask when you'd like for them to post and to send your post to them once you've sent the funds, you let them know you sent the funds and ask them to confirm and tell them when you'd like for them to post/send the post + caption over, and it's done. It's a painless process and can be over with in 5-10 minutes.

This is the quickest way for me to ignore anyone, offering to pay half now and half after.

    Because of the fees.

That doesn't mean anything. Most people say that, and even if you do exactly what they're asking and go above and beyond even, they rarely keep that unless they get a really good ROI. In fact, I've noticed people say that more often right after introducing an insulting low ball counter-offer. "You're charging $100? Is $40 okay? I want to test your audience and if it goes well, I'll buy more". Just don't.

Or because we're not scamming douche bags who want to feel guilty for scamming you.
