I am planning to build a website and planning to write 2,000 articles as well without doing any SEO since I don't know anything about SEO and stuffs. Will my website/keyword rank even though I am just going to write and publish articles? Say that I am targeting very low competition keywords. Like 300 searches per month per article.

Yeah, you can easily rank for the keyword 'uidcbasldcnlkjdnsichdsw' with no backlinks, just get uidcbasldcnlkjdnsichdsw.com

Wiz Khalifa was #1 on Google a few years ago as a search - granted he is a celebrity who might have had a marketing team do the work.

Why would you try to write so much content without taking the 10-12 hours it takes to get a good/ok grasp on SEO? SEO really isn't rocket science.

You certainly could but if there is any money or motivation for someone else who wants your position it would take next to nothing to tackle you for not reinforcing you position.

It's not hard to stick the keyword multiple times in and innerlink, with 2k articles innerlinking can help a lot

If it's any consolation, I'm working on this myself. I'm only 7 articles in right now though. I may not reach 2,000 pages, but it will definitely reach a few hundred. I shouldn't need any more than that for what I am targeting. I've ranked for hundreds of keywords (related to my target) before on a different platform. Once the Google update came along, I got hit for some reason. I didn't do any backlinking either- and the content was superb. Lost 50-65% of my traffic. I found out I had my content stolen by 3 or 4 different sites word for word afterwards, had those SOB's DMCA'd, and now the rankings are returning. Mind you, I was receiving 1k visitors PER DAY. Now, I'm dedicating a website to it, and the ONLY linking being done is internal and a few social signals, mainly pins. Oh, and I linked to it from my original one page article to pass on some immediate traffic and maybe a slight boost. I don't know how this will go but I'm sure as hellfire dedicated to it!

If you don't want any linkbuilding to rank then at least make the article SEO friendly,
