    Hey Friends!

I need a little help. I created a website, but it was very poorly thought out from the beginning. It's in an over saturated niche, and I have about 10 nice articles, but I did no keyword research.

Granted, I'm going to go back and try to add some keywords to the articles, but what are some ideas for monetizing, or using this site to make money even if it was poorly thought out in the beginning?

I don't want to abandon it completely, but I don't want to put in a huge amount of work, as I'm not really trying to build an authority site.

These are my ideas so far:

Concentrate on list building using videos, and ads and use the site simply as a landing page.
Add a lot of review articles and attempt to make some conversions so I can flip the site.

    Any suggestion are appreciated!

Why not scrap it and just start again with a better plan?
Or just flip it for a few dollars.

    A LOT of traffic?

Joking aside though, the reason why not many people make money off of a poorly thought out website is because properly planning a website and creating a vision for it is a huge first step in creating a successful website. As W130SN mentioned, start with that.

If the niche is oversaturated you'll still be able to make money, just simply target your prospects based on their likes and interests and what keywords lead them to sales copy that will convince them to buy from you.

Not every venture succeeds, if you see an error you made an can correct it in the future take it as a learning experience. Not sure how you could mediate your current site without more info.

Poorly thought out website -> redo.

If all is lost, try to flip it or scrap it.

I appreciate all your feedback! It is so true that you have to do the research from the beginning. I have had a very bad habit of thinking of an idea that I think is great at the time, and running to buy a domain name without doing any research!

I think I was really trying to salvage it somehow because of the content that was written.

I think I will stick it out a little longer, and try the advice of targeting a little to try to sell something to folks, and then flipping.

    Thanks everyone!
