i'm running GSA on my own pc right now, every now and then ESET catches a link saying it has a trojan or whatsoever and it is quarantined.I want to know if this harms my linkbuilding in any how?

Also right now all my blog comments are no follow, only trackbacks get DO*follow links. Why would that be? maybe cause i do not have a capcha breaker yet?

Your antivirus eventually hooks up to your machine to sniff all of your http(s) traffic. It does that because it assumes that most http(s) traffic will come from browsing the internet on browsers, and I am sure you know how buggy and unsafe browsers can be.

If you are using GSA, I wouldn't even worry about viruses since am sure GSA is running on sockets so there shouldn't be any risk of acquiring a virus that way. Just remember some of those sites that you are mass posting might have some fishy/java pop ups with viruses/browser exploits that would work on browsers not really on seo tools like GSA.

    My take.

If your AV is picking up a trojan/virus/other malware from linking to a site, then you do not want that link because Google and Bing will pick the site up as a malware distributor. It is not nice to link to bad neighborhoods (unless it is intentional).

By the same token, when running Malwarebytes in the background, if there is a socket connection to an IP that is listed as malware, then Malwarebytes blocks that connection. I probably do not want to attempt to make a link through that IP because if the recipient site is running any kind of malware/virus detection, then the IP will be blocked.

I've been running GSA SER for a long time with no antivirus protection and I've not had any problems so far - at least, not that I know of. lol

One of the reasons why it is best to use a VPS for your GSA campaigns. And dont worry about blog comments, the vast majority of them do actually bear the nofollow tag. Bets to use them on the second and further tiers.
