So I had a .pw domain. It got a bunch of links, like maybe a few million over the course of the past several months. .pw registry suspended the domain. Ive argued with them back and forth, there is nothing wrong on the domain, in fact it was a clean install of wordpress setting there.

It got listed in spamhaus of course due to complains. And I quote:

"When we referred that the domain is listed in Spamhaus DBL, it is certainly involved in malicious activities since
DBL maintains realtime database of spam domains including spam payload URLs, spam sources and senders , known spammers and spam gangs and you as a domain
owner is held liable for any such abusive activity on your domain."

One issue is peoples definition of "SPAM". There has never even been 1 email sent or received from this domain. At least not since Ive owned it. It did get hammered with links, not saying I did it.

In truth though, its very clear that a domain owner is held liable for such activity on their domain. So basically what they are saying is if you have a competitor that is using a .pw domain you need only buy some negative SEO and you won't have to worry about their SERP as .pw will happily simply suspend the entire domain until its out of the Spamhaus DBL. Then once its out you only have to start over and they will suspend it again.

I would never waste my time with it, but I wonder if someone got registry.pw listed on the spamhaus DBL list, if they would suspend themselves. Its insane, they have no clue about "the real world" and how easily it could be gamed. Its easier then google ever was.

Newb Note: For any people out there thinking it would actually be funny to get registry.pw listed on Spamhaus, I would highly recommend you dismiss this thought as while it is entirely doable, its a fight you just don't want to get into.

I guess this is also a warning to anyone interested in owning a .pw domain, your setting your self up for failure as the .pw registry has handed your competitors a turn key solution to get your domain suspended.

Ha, yeah, but I think most other tlds are seasoned enough for this to not be an issue. If the Black Hat community all of a sudden adopted .pw like they did .info then in short order the registry would be so busy dealing with this they would "wake up" and realize whats happening.

.com is too smart for this, plus frankly they would lose too much money, .pw is still a baby in the domain name space, .com is an adult and they have it figured out, in ratio comparison anyway.

I lost a Domain a few months ago (not .pw) spent a week building links, started getting decent traffic, then boom suspended.
It was just a test, so wasn't too concerned but like OP, the reason given was just BS.

Were you building links or they don't like certain content?

Actually I already finish building links to it 3 months ago. Well after talking to namecheap support today luckily they fix and ask the registry to un-hold my domain.

Now I'm able to access my domain again with different i.p, locations and vpn. it's working fine now, but still the status of my domain in namecheap dashboard is still suspended "Suspended by the Registry, please contact [email protected]", well namecheap gave me a great support for this today. I'll just ask them again what's the real status of my domain. Because I worked hard to rank it on #1 spot.

Now I know why my domain got suspended.
"This domain (***********) was flagged by our systems for malicious activity" and they gave me a virustotal link and 1 Bitdefender result for my webiste is MALWARE SITE, wtf what should I do? They say they will monitor my site within 1 week and if there's still malware which I know there's none, they will suspend it again. Btw, my niche is blackhat.
