puzzled, looking for solution?

both me and my competitor run very similar forums. I ranked higher than him in all search terms, I have 10 times more backlinks than him. I ranked much higher in alexa ranking as well.

I used scrapebox and do a linkdomain check on his site, and didn't get many results. But he has 10 times more members sign ups than me, and more activities every single day.

I also realized his members are from all over the world, because there's a field for "what country are you from"?

I also doubt it's fake members because all these people have activities daily. (making posts, etc)

I am trying to figure out what trick he is using, because it's really puzzling.

He is using the same forum software I do.

What do you guys think? He is in India, and I am in the US. could he be paying people to make posts?
