I am planning to make a game site in the future, I am doing pretty good with some other stuff, and I tought that a gaming website might earn me some more good money if I do it right.
I'm going to try to make it like y8 or something like that. 2d games, flashgames, anyway u know what I mean.

    I never tried this and I have some basic questions;

Where can I get games that I can Embed on my site(for free)?
and maybe someone here could give me a little tips.. just to start me off?

I had started a game site about 2 years ago
and the script i used was phparcadescript.com.
After I purchased the script and got access to there forum
there were people selling and giving away games to ad to the site
they also had a section where we could trade links with other game sites
so I went threw them and traded them links.
After that people started submitting there own games to my site.
I have since then sold that site but you could see it here
the new owner has changed the theme
when I sold it it was a pr 3 now its pr2

Anyways what I'm getting at is once I set the site up
and added some games the site pretty much took off on its own..

well there are loads of free arcade scripts (phparcade being one) and other sites that let u embed their custom games on your own site. but game sites make squat for money unless u have an immensely popular site. if you had adsense on your site you could expect anywhere from 1-3cents per click, and you might get one click for every 100 or so pageviews, so the money takes forever to add up. you'd make more money finding change outside a drive-thru window.

With games sites, you have a great market because your target audience (5-18) is active 9 months out of the year and 5/7 days a week. Also, being young and ignorant, well placed ads that are a bit sneakily places (100x100 sized ads next to a huge list of 100x100 thumbs of game titles) will be big earners... that being said - the niche itself is very low in adwords (average of $0.01 - $0.1/click for publishers) and if you get smart priced from lack of conversions, it gets much worse. Additionally, games sites are a dime a dozen, so either you need something to set up apart that attracts people, great SEO skills, or idk.

A great, GREAT and easy way (with some startup captial) is get a hit game created via freelance ($500 - $5k for a truly amazing game), throw mochiads, get sponsored and throw it everywhere on the web and yourown site. also throw ur url on the game. This will earn you about $.5/cpm for game plays on other sites (imagine getting 100k daily gameplays on addictinggames, etc etc and earning from that) and when they comback to your site.

Another idea is to somehow alter the content of what the ads are (Ex. is my site:
). It is 100% only about the game cubefield (or is it? ;) ). Its a part of an autoblog about finance and stocks. my average CPC is $0.75 - $2... granted i don't get many clicks, but my traffic isnt huge either....

    So good luck!

try that one.. You sign up with them, then you can use their games on your site, and get a percentage of the revenue from ads clicked..
