I have these articles that have been written through the fine work of some article writing services available in on BHW. Now that I have them, I want to add them to my site but do it in a way that won't display them to visitors to the site. These articles are mainly promotional and target specific keywords phrases. So given that, is this the time to use a site map? To show google pages that would not be otherwise found through spidering the main site? And then also, is there some specific way that google wants to see a site map or is it fine just to have a list of hyperlinked articles?

You can sign in to google and they will walk you through it with their webmaster tools.

Else if you're using WP, there's a plugin.

    Yes.

List of hyperlinked articles is fine.

Stick a link to your sitemap in your sites footer.
