I don't have a moral opinion on them, I don't take them just because I'm a health conscious kind of fellow and these are too much of an unknown.

In a way I like the idea of them expanding your mind in ways you might not if sitting in the usual world...on the other hand I think you CAN probably expand your mind just as you are/better without taking the short cut of PDs and taking a trip, by applying a bit of unrestrained thought and purposefully opening your mind to new ideas without any biases until it's a natural way of thinking for you. You don't take a trip, but I'm not after the trip, only a philosophical exploratory journey of reality and whats beyond it. To that end, I can't believe the lack of a trip (which I'm sure is very eye-opening) can't be compensated for. That's how I've always done it anyway, and I'm not part of the "groovy" crowd. Maybe I'm missing out completely, but the people I speak to who do take psychedelics don't actually strike as precisely 'open minded' per se, but rather, have very different uniform outlooks from Joe Banker. Being different to the norm might look similar to open minded but it's not quite the same thing. They're good at art though, that's for sure. Whether that's a chicken or egg situation I don't know, but a lot of them do tend to be artists. I won't be taking them either way.

    Thoughts?

You must try it, if you want to think philosophically about it.
It's really eye-opening and super-ultra-thinkoutsidebox kind of substance.
    It's mind-opener for inspiration etc.
    It's also and just unexplainable.
You must be really psychically ready for this - read forums about this stuff.

I have been on both sides of this some drugs do expand your thinking it does depend on what you are trying to accomplish but as I grew older these thing turned into meditating, deep thought or things like that.I hope though people understand it is bad for your body and does have an effect on you in the long term.I have no problem with some drugs being used but as i get older its less of a thing.when your age get to a point your thinking is expanded anyways its called experience

Are the things that come to you while doing it, things you can arrive at yourself with a bit of application and mind-management/exercise? What kind of thoughts do you get?

Its one of these things you can't really talk about unless you've tried it. And even then, it can be very hard and will always be inaccurate. Uniform people exist everywhere and psychedelics do no guarantee insights or "instant transformation" yet they can greatly help you with that. IF you actually want it. I personally have no moral qualms with "shortcuts". If i can change my life today, its a great thing. Transformation can happen without psychedelics, but if you don't want to be a monk and dedicate your life to spirituality, you might need something to start this transformation.

I'd say, if you are thinking about it, if you are interested ( and i believe you are playing with that though), just try it. Perhaps choose a shorter acting psychedelic such as mushrooms and take a lower dose (1-2g max). Do it in a safe environment alone of with a trusted and sensible friend. I wouldn't go for something like LSD (too long) or Research Chemicals ( who knows what they're doing to your body). I think mushrooms would be a good choice for a full experience with something that has a good safety profile and track record. Another good option would be a small dose of DMT freebase.

What i can say is, psychedelics have changed my life tremendously and for the better.

You can't really describe that, it will really depend on person. But youll definitely will think different, atleast in silly ways if nothing else. I would suggest you take pen and paper or voice recorder if you want to remember those thoughts, depending how fucked up you are might be that you can't write since itll impair your motoric skills to some extent.

As said well different and its quite eye-opening experience.

Never had any regrets.. Just need to mentally prepare yourself a little first. It certainly helps you look at things from a different perspective. Find a close group of similar minded friends, in a natural & safe environment and you can have some amazing results.. Enjoy :)

    reply;

It can be any kind of geometry thoughts, colors gets higher kernel, everything can get higher kernel (mean of relating to existence). You will get absolute

a different perspective on the music, sounds, vizuals and many many more. I think that psychedelic substances like lsd, psilocybin are not for labile or unstable people (mean psychic). All its about Psychic. Just read about it on forums, there are many forums about this - and read. But anything you will think about it will be uncorrect, only human who have experience with these substances knows how it goes. It's meditational, golden teacher (especially exotic mushrooms ex.Mexicans) about life experience. I like it ;)

    Hey,

First off, it's not always a good thing to be "open minded". See pewep. :p

I'd recommend you to try LSD with a friend IF you're emotionally strong enough to bear through your entire existence falling apart. Might sound strange, but most can't take to see themselfs stripped from lies. I personally love it from time to time.

However, if you're after philosophical ideas and expanding your mind intellectually, then it's a waste of time. Learn science and philosophy, that's the way to go.

Psychedelics such as LSD give you new experiences which you couldn't have otherwise, but they don't do jackshit for your intelligence. In fact, I'd say it'd be better if someone learns some science,
especially about the brain etc., otherwise you might get some stupidly insane ideas of reality based on your fucked up perception while being on LSD. And it will get REALLY fucked up if you take enough. :p

Also, I highly recommend you to get a sweet girl and fuck her brains out while doing so. Sex on LSD is without a doubt the best sex you could get, at least in my experience. Even better than with MDMA.

    warm regards,
    neocortx

Thanks peeps. all these people suggesting I just try it lol, I appreciate the love, but I won't be taking them, I'm a huge health guy so I don't do that stuff. I'm simply trying to learn about what happens philosophically and to a lesser extent, existentially and creatively, so that I can compensate somewhat and get there another way as much as possible. I find creative imagery helps get the cells flowing.

So do hitting your other senses in weird ways too - sounds, smells and locations.

I've heard people getting spiritually out of body and seeing themselves as but a blade of grass amongst billions of blades of grass, and lose that sense of self identity. Which is cool, I already get how hewmons are very self-universed and 1-dimensional. Playing devil's advocate - if that gets stripped away while under PDs, is that really saying it's therefore a higher consciousness? A new consciousness brought about by a different chemical makeup to your usual chemical makeup doesn't necessarily mean the new alternative is the correct one, but just an alternative perspective to add to your worldview - but aren't they ALL illusory universes? Still all located in your 8x6in head? I don't expect you to have the answers, I'm just throwing that out there. I may be missing a point.

I've always wished I could pen down my dreams while they're happening, because I get some pretty creative shit, but then I forget them.

    Thanks all.

I used to like shrooms a lot, never did acid. I find shrooms helped me see the world from a different perspective, and made me feel at peace.

I think all drugs like that are a spiritual thing. If anyone here'd like to see what a mild trip would be like, just smoke a lot of weed at once. Like, a full blunt to your face. Ideally high THC content. <<< Before you try something stronger like mushrooms or LSD.

The "benefits" people are discussing here are the same things I experience when I sit on a hill in the sun, walking through a forest, foraging here and there, fishing. Why use chemicals, and no doubt pay a lot for it, when everything you need to "open your mind" is free.

I read books to relax, I enjoy nature hell I enjoy messing about in my veggie patch and sitting in with my chickens.

From that I get all the time, peace and space I need to think 'outside the box' and the only side effect is getting run over by some farmer and his tractor when I am walking through their field :)
