i have a friend that pays for prweb to blast out his newsletter for about $300 each. is that worth it in your opinion? or can you get the same type of service here for cheaper?

the thing is that prweb blasts to other big sites too. so im not sure if anyone can do it here too for cheaper.

What PRweb does is get your Press Release out to the media. You can target exactly what locations and industries you want to send to. I didn't have a lot of success with it, but thats because I used a poorly written Press Release. I did get a few backlinks from it though. Small blogs also wrote articles about my company and I got some backlinks that way. Overall, I didn't think it was worth it.

ic.. so its mainly for if you want to get it to the big media outlets... thats only if they choose to pick it up or not.

For established non-local site it seems fairly good. Can get a lot of traffic if it gets picked up by the right site.
