I use NetSetMan which is a proxy firewall. I like it because if a site or program tries something behind my back the firewall catches it and proxies the connection. I have had mixed results with proxy switchers. Firewall for me is the most trusted way.
ProxyFirewall lets you set proxy rules at an application level (e.g. use this rule for IE, this rule for email client, etc.) which is one reason I prefer it.
