Proxies and Sockets. Do they need to be SOCKS?

    Hello everyone. I've been experimenting with sockets lately and had a quick question about them. If I were wanting to use proxies with sockets, would they need to SOCKS? Or, would HTTP proxies work just the same?

    HTTP works sort of the same, you just tell a http server to make the request for you. SOCKS is better for general use(Protocols that aren't HTTP) , but both work just fine.

    the default for sockets will be HTTP proxies, for socks you will need to add other libraries or different code.
