I'm wondering if anyone here uses prosper 202 to fake their referrer, and if so, how well does it work? I mean, it should look like the clikcs are coming straight from PPC right?

Would a cpa network be suspicious if a referrer was faked using prosper 202?

I might be wrong, but I don't think you can "fake" the referrer with P202...you can only blank it (cloak it). So far, the feature has been working very well, but on the other hand, I don't do much black hat...I tried a couple of gray hat stuff, and I've received no complaints.

Well, if the referrer is faked, you'd have to fake it to a place that would be relevant... If you mean that it's cloaked or blanked, then it depends on the CPA network. I cloak all traffic for the big ones (MaxBounty, NeverBlue, Hydra, Copeac), but I know that Commission Junction won't allow it, and will throw you out if you blank.

I thought cloaking meant faking, anyone else maybe know or use prosper to fake their referrer

ok, so maybe not faking, perhaps just cloaking, but wouldn't that look good? wouldn't it make your network think your running a PPC campaign?

it call cloak referral as bbyte mention and your network will see your click come from tracking software. network might visit your tracking site as referral but still OK for them. I use P202 with all my offer in different network and never have any problem. we have right to track all our traffic and compare stat with network.
