Pros N Cons of blogspotdotcom vs dot com's?

Hello guys,

I have been purchasing domain names and got a hosting account with bluehost. A month in, i realized that there are people taht are getting free landing pages from blogspotdotcom which i never knew existed.

so I was just curious on what the pros and cons are. obviously one big pro for blogspotdotcom is that it is free. are there any pros and cons for blogspotdotcom and dot com websites/?

You don't own it. You don't control it. You could get shut down at anytime with any web 2.0 account. Plus you have the ability to do a lot more with a self hosted site.

Build blogspot type blogs for link building to your main site and then blast backlinks to the free sites.

blogspot is subdomain, keyword on subdomain less worthy compared than a keyword on domain. You get an edge if you use keyword on domain for your main site.

For blogspot, you still have to tweak the theme a great deal for better SEO.

Im interested in what you said about link building. i dont quite understand why my current linkbuilding strategies isnt yeilding much links. can u elaborate on what you mean by 'blast backlinks to the free sites'?

Put spun articles with anchor text links pointing to your money site. Use scrapebox, AMR, xrumer etc to spam links to the blogspot page.
