    Hi BHW! Long time lurker...

I am promoting a concert taking place this weekend. I have identified a (closed) Facebook Group filled with 1,200 people who are the perfect target audience for this event (proper demographic, location, everything).

I was wondering if you have any ideas on how I can invite them to the Facebook Event Page OR create a custom audience and serve them ads.

In the past, I would use a UID scraper to scrape the group, convert these into Facebook emails, upload emails to create a Custom Audience, and serve hyper-targeted ads. However, we know that Facebook no longer allows the creation of Custom Audiences with UIDs or Facebook Emails.

Does anyone have any clever or creative ideas on how I could market the event to this group?

    Ideas I have so far:
    1. Join the group and post in it myself ? but I imagine that I'll be banned quickly.

    2. Create fake Facebook profiles that resemble the demographic (college kids), and then add people that are in the group. Once they are my friends, I can invite them to the event page.

Any other ideas? Thank you all very much! :D

Promote events on facebook is not easy (I have a friend who do that)
    - If you make money with events, you can use facebook ad. You will win at the end.
    - If your event is fucking good, it will be viral as always for good events (people like do go out for good reasons)
    - If is normal event with nothing special, good luck ! You have to spam A LOT with minimum results at the end.

Your second choice is not good I think. Take a lot of time, and nice chicks never add you as friend (you don't need only stupid guys of 16). You will be report and ban.

Other way you can have deal with admins, or you can create your own general group to promote your events and events of other people. You need to work together.

    Thank you for the advice.

Does anyone have any sort of technical solution or clever workaround where I can serve adds to the members of the group?

Can you please elaborate? From my experience Facebook Ads do convert too slowly. They have a good ROI but bring me not more than 10 people/day to respond to my event.

Sponsored post works best for me.

if you want to invite them to the event they need to be your friends, so yeah, the only way I see this is to create a couple of accounts and invite those members to be their friends, it will take some time though and not will respond. Also it's a little hard to do with fresh accounts as facebook might close them/make you verify them quite fast.
