Promoting a site in just two hours

This is my second post here at BHW. I have only a basic understanding of internet marketing and so far I have only really made a couple of wordpress youtube scraping sites, these were really just to learn the basics on how to work with wordpress, Cpanel, domain registering, hosting, google submission etc. etc.

You can see one of them here http://www.funnyfockers.com, it was pretty simple to do with a little customization and a few addons. It automatically adds videos every day with very little monitoring - if anyones interested i can give more details but the inspiration was from eli's blog at

He gives loads of ideas there and maybe one day i may explore them but for now i really want to concentrate on building a more whitehat, bricks and mortar type foundation, but thats another post.

What i am really trying to do is just do some very basic marketing for this site to really just get it in the loop and then forget about it until i feel like acting upon some of the ideas in the original blog post of Eli's.

I want to spend roughly 2 hours working on this and not much more. I am obviously going to submit to google but my question is this.

If you had 2 hours to spend marketing this site what would you do?
What in your opinion are the most important must do's?
What actions have the most bang for the buck?

One of the best ways is to do autoblogging. It works well and will show a profit.

can you throw up some examples of decent autoblogging sites?

Just 2 hours? I suppose, 10 minutes to brief an article writer to write me 5 articles. 1 hour to submit them through a private blog network. Or to find someone here or on DP who has a private blog network and will submit them for me.

Or 10 minutes to hire someone to post to 200 forums or similar.

If I was doing the work myself I can't imagine that I'd achieve anything productive in terms of promotion in 2 hours.

Well...I can't see beyond blog commenting if it is such a short time frame.
Id take this 2 hours and get it into 15 minute breaks every day.

1) Blog commenting on 10 blogs...every day. (Theres a chance you will hit a top commentator plugin or something and get sitewide links!)

2)Social bookmarking of all posts for a few days(be good if you can find an autosocial poster to automate this for you.


You should start making a blog network of your own..make a few hundred blogger blogs..squidoos...etc... Dont spend any money on it..use free web 2.0 properties.

2hrs per day

Submit your feed to feed directories and do exactly what davioli suggested about building your own blog network on blogger or wordpress.com or any of the thousands of free blog providers out there (only build so many per account/ip) on all these blogs link back to your site and include your sites feed, squidoo lenses same thing with the links back to your site...

On all the blogs/lenses or whatever you build for the purpose of gaining back links to your site also be sure to market those as well via RSS feed submissions etc...

Also as already stated, write articles and submit those to the article directories...

2 hours doesn't give you a lot of time. With that time, I would contact a few key authority sites, niche sites in your area- tell them about your site, and try to work out some cross promotional stuff. OR make a linkbait piece - a top 10- put it on Stumble, and use Auto-Stumble to amp up its placement.

I only submit my feeds to a handful of RSS directories, probably should find more or find/create a good tool to hit more...but I'm kinda lazy..lol

Here are the directories I currently use, I haven't updated the list in awhile and like I said....there are more out there.
