    Hey
I'm looking for good ways to promote a band (Rock genre)
It can be to their Facebook, Twitter, Youtube , and can involve anyway possible
The Main goal is to attract quality audience (mostly from western countries
More quality audience = more money making, the less I pay per view , like, follower etc is better

I have a budget of 500$ per month
    Any suggestions?
You can also PM me with ideas

    Thanks

I'm also looking into this as a side project, but I think the best way to create an online buzz, is to first get it started offline, with gigs in loads of places, getting the word out, then publishing gig videos, behind the scenes, personal band member interviews etc.

Although, if you wanted to think outside of the box, you could go down the route of:
"This band is so specialist, they do like 2-3 gigs a year, always secret, noone really knows who's in it", and do loads of video promotion based on that theme, sort of like how people organise these underground raves where you only find out the location on the day of the event.

Could create a nice buzz, and perfectly possible through online marketing.

Press Releases is a great start. Music requires cunning to break into the industry, how you promote is almost more important than where you promote.
What you promote matters most so be sure your songs convert listeners into fans.

Right now, music videos are king and everyone underrates them so much. Try and put out a quality music video for the majority of their songs. I'm also working on some software that should help you a lot that's coming very soon :)

    Let me rephrase my question
I need to draw traffic to my existing videos and FB page which are all well designed, I'm talking about pure online marketing getting the right people to see my product ONLINE
    Thanks

Find videos of other rock bands and post in the comments section... Post either: a link back to their channel, drop the band name, suggest some of their songs, etc. to create a bit of a buzz.

You might also want to consider teaming up with other bands directly.

And, if you haven't done so yet, publish some of their songs on iTunes.

p.s. Easy there hottweelz. You could have made your point in a completely different tone.

Build a following on social media. I'd invest in a couple of things:
    1) quality content (backstage videos, free mp3s etc)
    2) giveaways/contests (give away tickets or merchandise)
    3) facebook ads (for building a fan page)

This is what I would do ...

Focus on friending similar bands in your area on social media, especially those more established than you. Get to their shows, create a relationship then share/retweet their important posts. If they don't think you're just shmoozing, they'll reciprocate. Then you have access to their established fan bases. That and FB advertising (but unless you're advertising a show, I don't think it's that effective).

My husband has attracted a lot of attention on Soundcloud, and his friends seem to do pretty well there as well... one of my other friends who is more into blues/folk uses NuBuTu incessantly too and has live sessions once a week. She has a big following... but she has a big following in real life. Doesn't seem to be popular with every type of music though... just my personal observation.

My friend, Press Releases do apply Online; unless it's being sent to physical newspapers/magazines as well which can happen.
The part nobody wants to ever hear is you NEED to get shows, don't worry if nobody or only a couple people show up. Record it anyway to further enhance your press releases AND to get those people to arrive at the next show. They'll bring friends and so on. Hand out free merch and CD's with your online info.
Building buzz over a band is not much different than it's ever been.

You should buy ad space on websites like prosocialexchange.com it will really help, trust me.
And make a facebook fanpage, if you can't spend time on posting contents on fanpage and bringing likes to it.
Then hire someone like me to create a fan-page, twitter account and do all the work. I can make blog posts promote on forum etc.

Just a suggestion. Get a few accounts with a few thousand followers. Act as fans, and keep retweeting and replying to your bands. The more the accounts, the more the people will notice the band. I have a few accounts i don't need, I can do a trade for anything of the same value if you want. Just don't want to keep a perfectly good account inactive

How about paying YT for some traffic? Get a video featured for a while. Build up an audience. Get subscribers. Seems the obvious thing to with music videos.

I would consider engaging in youtube paid. If your preview image is very appealing and stimulates curiosity, people will click to see what the video is all about. From there it's up to you to take the viewer through your journey.
