Promoting on youtube was widely spread and detailed on all forums, not only this one, with plenty of information available for free. Now, the earnings from youtube have decreased a lot lately- i was in youtube marketing for around a year, and i can tell you that for the same amount of work i earn no where close now from what i used to earn in the old days-speacking strictly about video marketing.
The only way to make some money out of youtube marketing, is to be able to capitalize on untapped niches, - or produce bulk volumes of videos.
Producing bulk volume of videos is damn hard, cause everyone makes videos in bulk- tools required have been posted all over the web.
If me-or anyone else- say publicly some niches on youtube that work well, then soon everyone will start to follow the instructions and saturate the market.
Sorry, but i guess the only option to make cash on youtube right now is to be able to target to niche specific people, and keep your niche confidential.

I gotta agree with Nick on this.
Think if you can narrow down certain niches (and don't let ur personal interests, likes/dislikes cloud ur judgment), then it is a give u will find something nice. I know we r all reading the latest articles, headlines, etc, etc...Tho, some off-line places hold some of the BEST areas to find niche goldmines. And I am about 50/50 as to which resource is better right now.
Some areas 2 check into for YT mrktng: holidays, specific travel, and...
