I have some research documents which needs to be translated from English to Italian.

It is actually for a relative who told me to do a Google translation one... but I don't think that will even be a 4/10 translation job.
So where I can find someone that can do it and how much it would cost?

It's a study about some research, 27 pages total.

I could do it my self but it contains very specific medical terms and staff like that.

How much are you willing to pay? I can ask around. Many of my relatives are fluent in both Italian and English. I know enough, but I don't trust myself to translate a paper with medical terms.

You should post a job offer on freelancer.com Posting a project is free and you only pay if you accept the bid of one worker. I'm pretty sure you'll find whatever you need there.

Sounds like it will be an expensive one if you want professional translation.

27 pages + medical terms from English to probably more complex Italian? Doesn't sound cheap.

Edit: It might actually be cheaper from English to Italian, not so much the other way.

If you ever translated scientific studies you should know that fluent Italian and English will not be enough, there are just too many specific terms that are bat-shit crazy, I used to translate a lot from english to my native language so be very careful when you pick someone or the results are gonna be rubbish.

I do a lot of translation between English and Finnish, so I am not saying I can help you with this per say, but I can give you a nudge to the right direction when it comes to pricing, as I charge anywhere between 10€ and 20€ per 100 words of medical research text. It depends completely on the difficulty of the material, but be prepared to pay at least 10 cents per word for actual professional translation.

I have used Verbatim Solutions in the past. Very professional but may cost more than other solutions. I would probably try to get most of it done with Google Translate then send it off somewhere else for some of the bigger medical terms. Probably the most cost effective way to get solid results

You are one of them I see.. The number of times I get English documents from a non-English company, and they ask me to translate it to Finnish just to find me saying I'll charge them extra for rewriting the English ones first, as they are barely readable in most cases, and the sentences are nonsense, meaning it doubles the time it take me to translate it.

Yeah exactly.. I usually just translate my self documents and stuff like that but there are just so many medical terms and nonsense sentences that just hurts your brain.

Anyway, told my relative that she would spend a lot of money for 27 pages and I can't do it because I would most probably make some errors.
We decided that is better just to find some medical research like that in Italian.

Thank you guys for all the information! :)

I don't think it will be cheap either. My cousin's daughter just finished med school in Italy. I know she would do it if I asked her to, but I wouldn't ask her unless it was worth her while.
