I was planning to add product review (comp hardware) section to my site until recent Google update.

In your opinion is there any point of continuing with this plan or is Google just consider that as a spam and deindex my site, once they realize I don't have photo evidence of actually owning/testing the product, or is that not that important?

I don't think they'll deindex your site, it's just that you might not rank :)

according to google this is pretty important, so you'll probably need it...

But the hell knows what google wants anymore, I think you should give it a try because with google you never know. I have seen even 1-page websites ranking and getting lots of traffic, which was a shocker for me because this wasn't possible few years ago, so yeah... give it a try and see what happens :)

I don't think ranking a site from user prospective, as an affiliate would be a problem if you known the right channels to market it, and ways of keeping it real. The most important part will be to use content of the website to draw in readers, via long-form content and FAQ around the products to touch upon all of the points a product brings to be table. Good luck!

it all depends on the quality of the content in this section. If the quality is good, there will be no problems. if you are going to generate it by AI, you will not get anything good as a result

Worth trying, don't think it would deindex it either but would probably negatively affect SERP ranking. Perhaps there's a way to produce photo evidence without actually owning the product?
