    Hey ya'll

So, I'm not new to using private proxies but I'm having problems that I don't understand.

I ordered a package of 20 PPs from a vendor here on BHW, and when I used them with SB and DHG I had problems right away. After some light scraping the proxies were worn out right away and I couldn't use them.

The vendor assured me there was a problem on my end and gave me a full refund. I then go to Squid proxies and buy a pack of 25 PPs and when I test them in SB, 5 don't work at all and half fail the Google test in Scrapebox. I didn't even use them yet.

I sent a ticket to scrapebox, but in the meantime ... does anyone know WTF is happening??

There MUST be something wrong on my end, but i can't figure it out.

    Thanks in advance.

Proxies will die fast when scraping.
The problem is not with the proxies (except the squid ones that are dead).
The problem is with your settings most likely.
If you scrape use the public proxies.

I'm just coming back after a bit of a break, lol .. bit rusty.

By settings do you mean connections? I was asked about 'time between search' settings from one of the proxy vendors but I've never seen that, or can find such a setting in SB 2.0. There is the usual 'amount of connections' and 'timeout' settings for the harvester.

The proxy vendor here on BHW was surprised too that the proxies failed so quickly in SB, when I mean "Light scraping" I mean it. Not enough to ban good PPs.

I've used PPs in the past from My Private Proxy for scraping Google, and I know a proxy can take a good beating before being banned. I never went to them again because I need the proxies for hotmail too to verify new accounts I create here and there. Has this changed since I've been away? Does Google ban IPs that fast?

Like i said, the vendor from BHW was also extremely surprised and he said that the problem is on my end, and it has to be true because Squid proxies are failing on me before I'm even using them.

What do you mean by light scraping?
What settings? Connection, proxies used, how complex are the footprints?

Have you mailed about this issue to SB? after this new version on SB, i too faced some issues, hence i am still using old one. which version are you using, i would suggest mailing SB guys, they will help you out, they are very supportive.

    25 proxies
    300 connections
Keywords list of about 50 with blog footprints

I say light scraping because SB scraped for under a minute before all the proxies bit the dust. I have never seen PPs go down like that.

And I have no idea what the deal with Squid proxies is. Customer support has not gotten back to me, and I never even used them yet ... just all testing shitty.

I contacted Scrapebox too, still waiting. That's why I'm here in the forums asking my fellow BHWers.
