I just completed working on a new site today, and it has about 20 different articles that are unique and passing copyscape and everything looks good. I went and added a sitemap and stuff, and then checked the site and only the homepage was indexed. I then checked about another hour later and all of the pages were indexed, and I did a few checks on a few of the pages and they were actually ranking really good. So I got back to my computer an hour later and was going to check how some of the other pages are doing and now I've noticed nearly all of the pages are no longer indexed on Google. Just 3 of them are still there. Nothing in my Google Webmaster Tools.

Would anyone know what's going on with this? Or is it normal that things are a little flippy floppy? I haven't done anything to jeopardize the site yet. There's not even any links yet.

I got similar experience with yours with my new sites. Be patient, its called Google dance. Better check google in the next few days. In the mean time, start to build backlinks naturally to your site.

It's quite normal for the beginning.
If you want to improve this, you could create a new profile in google webmasters tool and add the sitemap of your new website.

If it is a New Site. Just Do Digg and some Top Sites Bookmarks to get it indexed fast.

Do you mean the pages aren't ranking or they have been removed from the index? Getting deindexed is not part of the 'google dance'. You either mis-typed when checking or you got banned. What's the URL history?

    Google "site:http://yourdomain.com" to double-check.

Don't panic if after a few days all your pages are ranked horribly - it's kind of like Google figuring out where your website would be best ranked - until it does, it's dancing. Shouldn't take more than a week or so.
