Problem with YT SMS verification

Each time I go to create a youtube account I get asked to verify my account by text message which is really annoying since I reset my IP and use ccleaner to get rid of cookies/flash cookies etc.

However if I try from a different computer i only get asked for email verification... so how is YT keeping track of my main computer? mac address or something?

Any ideas to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated

Well this Question is really complex to answer because google has a very strong and complex algorithm system installed which determines who is a SPAM user and who is not they basically depend on many factors not just one. Either it could be IP address thats the most likely one to be i dont think so about MAC address or maybe its your host ip either way you can get around with problem but not on massive scale

are you sure you're cleaning the flash cookies? try changing the user agent (general.useragent.override in about:config for firefox) and you should probably disable Java if you haven't already

just use IE , don't disable java IMO. no one knows what they have coded in firefox to track you which you don't know. Doubt you did read the whole terms of service and user agreement

Its definately not an IP problem because I tried using someone elses internet connection to make an account and still the same problem, and yes I am clearing flash cookies each time also.

Try creating a different windows user on your local computer. You'll get a new profile for your cookies, temporary internet files, history, etc. with this new user. CCCleaner may not be cleaning up everything.
