So apparently someone either sold my info, or had their db hacked. A friend of mine hit me up yesterday saying that he had gotten an email to reset his password for some proxy site he had never heard of. I checked one of my emails this morning, and sure enough I got it too. Not exactly sure how I got on this list, but since my friend and I work in separate areas online, and don't often use the same services, I think we should be able to compare places we've signed up to in the past and see if anything jumps out as maybe being the link. I have no clue if their services are any good, but I damn sure won't be signing up or "resetting my password". Be careful if anyone else gets this as it could easily just be a scam to try and drum up some fast money from people. Here's the exact email with my details edited out.
Lol. Nice of them to provide me with the password reset link right there. Seeing how I never signed up in the first place, chances are I won't remember the password they claim to have on file there.
