first of all, my english is not good so im sorry.
in my experience, after penguin 2.0 update, the best way to rank a website is to do not use any spun article as tier 1 (one of my websites is down from 9# in google to no where) and post quality articles & guest posts in relevant niches that point back directly to your money site...after you can boost your tier 1 by high pr links & social bookmarks & your tier 2 by sb comments & wikis : this strategy gives me good results after penguin 2.0 using few web 2.0 properties as tier1 & guest posts if you are lucky :D

this is why these days we talk more about the importance of private networks & web 2.0 properties to rank a website.

so what do you prefer ? to join a [private] existed network (when we hear about them...they become not private any more ! & its difficult to find relevent niches), or to create your own mini network for your websites using high pr expired domains & different hosts &....(IT COSTS MUCH !) or only to create a mini network of web 2.0 properties (already in different IP & no domain costs & good for a long run) but you need just to boost their ranking by creating good BACKLINKS to them & update them regulary...and by time they will have good PR and finally it becomes your mini private network for your werbsites which doesnt cost you money after and ready to rank your future websites easily ?

So what do you prefer & whats your experience/feedback regarding these methods ?:feedback:

Hi PR networks like this are great - but risky. I've had several experiecnes of these going down. Small parts of SAPE went down last week and networks are hit all the time (BMR, Linxboss etc)
Google WILL penalize sites for usiing paid private links - if you get caught (and eventually all private networks will get caught) you'll get the email off Google and possible (probably?) a slap or even a sandboxing.

Public networks can never realistically be slapped. Anyone can interact on them. Social interaction (a vital aspect of "WEB2.0") pretty much IS the internet these days. You are going to get sites all over the place, they will change, the webmastes of these sites might not even know. Google might not value all of the liks, but past that they have never done anything and are unlikely to.

Private (PAID links) = Powerful with a risk
Public (open source platform link building) - Less powerful very little risk.

Choice is yours. There is no right answer - just right for you. I do both for different sites and roll with the punches or take the slow road whichever.

It depends on your budget and keyword actually. Ofcourse web2.0s will get you good serps but we cannot overlook the importance of high pr network. If your competition is medium to high then you sure will need mixture of high pr posts and web2.0s in your tier 1 links. Start testing what works for you.
    Gud luck

Honestly it's not just competition that matters, I think high PR and decent web 2.0 properties are vital for any long-term ranking strategy.

Both are good. A mixture of both is best.
