Hi im working on a project with a large group of people. We're ranking music covers in competitive niches by hyping it on Facebook, Twitter and also commenting and likeing it on Youtube. This has been working really well. Theres no blackhat Marketing involved. Its all whitehat. And it works because there are a lot of people involved with real and active twitter, facebook and youtube accounts.

For the really competitive songs we try to get music blogs involved. But there is this problem. If i upload a video to Youtube and put on private so blogs can view it. Then like 3 to 5 days or maybe a week later the video is set to public and one of the blogs embeds the video. Then we like and comment on Youtube and we hype it the same way on twitter and facebook. My question is would that be ranking as strong or better as if we were putting the video on Youtube and hyping it from the first minute?

So whats a better strategy. Putting the video on private and getting blogs involved. Or taking another way to show this video to blogs. Like maybe show them through a different platform. What about using an unlisted video for that?

It will be ranked better for some time usually few days if you will start doing that right after uploading. Long-term ranking will be the same.
