Some ad networks actually require you to have a privacy policy.

And they usually provide suitable text.

If you're using wordpress there's a handy little plugin called easy privacy policy that will generate a privacy policy for you automatically. Not a huge deal to create one manually, but with the plugin you can spin an @dsense-compliant policy, or one specifically for pr0n sites, and so on.

I'm in no way associated with the plugin other than being a user of it.

Oh and yes, as previous poster mentions some ad networks require one. I read somewhere that having a Big G @dsense/DART compliant policy in your sitemap helps a bit in how your site is viewed by them (a very little bit, but hey every little bit helps).

    peace,
    gregs.

With the new FTC updates, you should have Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and Disclaimers pages.

Google also likes to see these pages as well.

You also need to make it clear of your affiliation of the product you are reviewing.

So if you are an affiliate, you need to disclose that you are an affiliate and will make a commission from your sales.

I have heard some say yes, and some say no.

I recommend you go do some research on the new FTC regulations so that you know what you are dealing with and then make your own decisions on the legal aspects of your business.
