What would be a appropriate i can ask for a piece of software that checks a list of proxy's on whether they are alive and anonymous. It will result in the end with a list of working and anonymous list of proxy's. You can check any amount you want.

I'm only sixteen so kinda new to this, i made tons of apps but now i want to make a bit of money out of them. So i can purchase Ubot!

Pricing it is kinda hard since Charon does this and is readily available for free. There are instructions for using it in the Proxy Forums here on BHW.

That doesn't even begin to mention the various proxy checking sites and scripts floating around out there.

If the software is good, and fast, you could get away with asking for around $25-$75 for it.

gap makes a good point, but don't get discouraged - think outside the box, and make your app really high quality and fast

also try to add in useful functionality that doesn't exist, or doesn't exist in any single app - take a look at your "competition" and think of one or two (or more lol) features that you would want that they don't have, or one killer feature from one app and another killer feature from another app, and make sure yours does both - and does them very very very well

for example, would your app require me to find a list of proxies to test, or would it search for proxies from various sources automagically? and then test them for me; I'm a lazy sod so guess which I would prefer (plus I think the machines should do the work for us, not the other way around....but I am a lazy f'ing sod lol).

and if the app will automagically find me proxies and test them, I might also like it to monitor the proxies and remove them as they died....and then maybe at a certain threshold of mortality rate, go out and get me some fresh ones...and now we're headed in the direction of a proxy rotator lol...but I think you get my idea....

take a look around at the market, and how your app could be different and a better fit for some customers, and develop accordingly

Would it be a good idea if a make a server that checks proxy's all day. Then the program would need only one button get list and there you will have your fresh 1k proxy list. Would this be a great idea or not?

    Edit:
You will also be capable to submit your own list of proxy's. Then i will ask a fee for using the software.

This would be a good idea and be a likely way to increase the speed of your app.

A previous poster suggested taking a look at your competition. A good way to create an app from you competition is to survey all your competitors, making a note of which competitors have which features, assemble all the features into your own app, thus creating a "super app" of sorts.

As far as i know the other apps let you copy paste YOUR list into there app and then you also have to wait ~30min to get the job done. With my idea the server will check all proxy's every hour. Also grabbing new proxy's and deleting the dead ones. So that for the client it will take >1sec to get a 1k list.

So as far as i know my is superior to the others. But because i have a server running i should make a monthly/annually fee. Off course a huge discount for BHW members.

But i think it is really great for a clients to get a 1k list or more almost instant. But then the question still remains is there a market for a product like this?

Charon kinda sucks, and is buggy. (no offense if the one-time creator reads the forum)

It's been abandoned development wise for some time. So IMO there's definitely a niche for a solid proxy checker/tester.

There are really two groups of people on the forum, ones happy to pay for good software and people who would try to build their own proxy checker from popsicle sticks if it saved $20. Target the first group.

I think you could get away with charging maybe $30-50 for it. Make it reliable, and able to export in all the important formats (perhaps automatically and by FTP).
