I was just browsing the forum and i couldnt help but notice
that most people who share a method or ebook always asked to be thank

What is the point of this, its not like the thanks gets us anythings.

So why do ppl go aggressively look for them?

Because they want to get banned. I'm pretty sure you aren't supposed to ask for thanks or rep at all. Although I'm also pretty sure that most of us are guilty of it at one point or another, when first joining the forum.

To amass slutty virtual shoes. Or maybe that's just me :D

People like thanks because it looks good on ya. Having thanks/rep/itrader is a good thing. Puts you in good standing on the forum and whatnot. I think it shows that people value the forum. I give out thanks when a post makes me laugh, so you can see I've been quite generous with it. I don't have a lot of incoming thanks, probably due to the fact that I work so much lately that I don't have a lot of time to throw down helpful posts as much as I should, but I plan on working on that next year. If someone posts something helpful, they deserve to be thanked. IMO it's a partial indicator of how helpful said person has been in the past on BHW. When you're dealing with someone on BHW, it helps build a little trust when the person has a nice BHW history of being helpful etc.

Hey hey hey. Where else can one dress up like gorilla jesus, indulge in coke, hookers and orgies all night long and have absolutely no repercussions the next day?

ex-fucking-actly. i love secondlife. still. best part for me was when companies like IBM started spending loads of many to build offices in secondlife. such a load of crap, such a waste of money. ah, boom times, wher'st thou gone?
