Kiss your Web 2.0's goodbye.... for the most. Further, the value of a link not obviously editorially granted will either be greatly diminished, or, will be rendered essentially worthless. Google has been on this trajectory for awhile now, but I believe they now have enough aggregate data to push their 'end game' such that SERPs don't implode.

To anyone who used the Link Disavowal Tool without knowing what they were doing: I fart in your general direction.

Thus one of the many reasons I will not use the Link Disavowal tool. Using is like telling google your exact roadmap for seo.

Nice try but predictions and SEO don't go well together. You would have a better chance with earthquakes.

I said this 5 months ago and got neg repped "for spreading lies" or something...I mean, I don't say this update will do something about WEB 2.0s but whatever.
On the other side, who cares about Google updates, I sure don't

There will be a glitch in the update that will make porn/pharmaceutical/gambling links extremely valuable. You heard it here first!

To be honest, whatever people post aren't predictions, they're just random guesses.

Web 2.0s SEO is cheap ways to do it. It is not working so well last few months. The solution:

    Separate hosting accs/providers
    Strong domains
    HQ content

    Problem solved.

That is hard to believe considering you have "SEO" in your name.

By you guys' logic, SEO itself is unpredictable; a roll of the dice.

Predictions are not random by default. Google has been whittling-away at all link types as ranking elements that are not (or appear to be) editorially granted since Penguin 1. I predicted back in April of 2012 that we'd see more and more niche relevant blog networks pop up and the authority-siphoning offered up by link tiering would fade. They have; it is. Anything footprint-related that Google did not possess, they now have due to the Link Disavowal tool.

Fellas, I'm making deductions and inferences, that's all. I hope I'm wrong.

Well, we are mostly delivering content and super-high-quality links. Everyone needs content and those links that we provide do not get bad-listed by Google updates so that's why I don't care about updates

I predict that citation-like links will become more valuable and contextual in-article links will be devalued. Eventually, people will start creating their backlinks to look like references from a college term paper and then Google will again over-correct for this with Penguin 3.0. Zoltar has spoken. Lets see if I'm right.

They will target wiki links for sure. However, when Matt's team changes something there are major side effects, so you can kiss Wikipedia goodbye.

I think you only need to follow G directives, create interaction, find THE idea, share, don't think optimized for SEO but for visitors, just my advice, too much competition, must think outside the run.

This is obvious, and this is one disadvantage we have versus them. If no one ever talks about anything, then no one will know what to do or the collective intelligence of SEO would be much lower.
