Some time ago I found some version of XP that is preconfigured and lighter then regular one without non important components and services. I can't find it in bookmarks now... So, does anybody know its name ??
You have tweaked/lightweight Windows XP installation like tinyXP and XP gamerzedition. Not recommended when you wanna use more features and software in the future. You won't be able to install the latest .NET frameworks and this is an required component for most common and updates programs these days! first post btw ^^
You can use this tool called nLite to manage what parts of Windows you want to install and which to leave out. This customized version can be sleeker and faster if you do it right.
