Hello to all.
Does anyone works reddit with praw & selenium? My question is that causes ban? As you know there is a huge ban wave, pattern detect, spam filter etc..
But I have to use praw & selenium. At least selenium. Any thoughts on that? Or any alternative?

The ban isn't a result of how you automate accounts
But in what you do using that automation,
I personally run more than 1k accounts on a server I got some bans and that's a part of the game

Yeah I got that, So
Posting something with reddit apps (via app you generate on reddit.com/prefs/apps) and use that on praw
or using selenium to post something

you say it does not matter? the important thing that content you share?

They can for sure detect your bot too and cause the account to get banned by, for example, just logging in through a flagged bot.

Just add random activity between the real code like liking some posts or for example make a list of top subreddit and whenever you login go into any one of them.

Then take a random digit between one to 100 and scroll and upvote that post.

Then start your real work. This way you will mimic the activity of a normal human instead of bot.

All of this can easily be done using python and selenium

How do you add proxies to 1k accounts? I am just running one via web automation in chrome

I don't use Web automation

Most of people using browsers and they change UserAgent and ip but they still get detected.
Why?
Cause when you change the user agent to Firefox and you are using chrome browser then you can get detected super easily cause the headers that get sent by chrome isn't the same like Firefox

So any bot detection system can see that you are claiming that you use Firefox but you send chrome headers
The solution for this is to use chrome last version and UserAgent for chrome last version and don't change it cause 99% normal people uses it

How do you create reddit accounts without web automation?

When I create accounts using Selenium (using the UserAgent for the latest version of Chrome), the accounts get banned after few comments (even without links). But when I create accounts with Dolphin Anty, those accounts last longer.

Is there a way to create reddit accounts by using python requests?

Yeah I'm just going to say the same that other guys already said, The reddit accounts are going to get banned that's part of the game but you can put random activity for the accounts

I have 2 bot account creation. The first account creation bot works smoothy without banned. But the other one banned instantly. My conclusion is 3 factors affecting it. First is the IP, second the browser, then third is the programming language used as some detected instantly like the python and selenium as well as the node js.

Praw can only be used after you have created the account.

And I use selenium recaptcha solver to solve captchas.

i think that using praw gives higher chance of ban then using browser automation like selenium or playwright

Could you share the programming language used for the bot that is working without getting banned?
