PR6 VS PR5 on gogole results

    hey peeps i got some question here

    lets assume both sites r selling same item , only 1 item in all site, and lets say i puted the itemthey sell on serach engine

    does it mean that PR6 site will show before the site of PR5 on the google search result ????

    No there are many factors, on site optimization etc

    Just because one site has a higher PR than another doesn't always mean that it will rank higher than a lower PR site. A pr1 site can outrank a pr5 site, if the optimization is better. There is alot more factors involved than just PR

    No, it doesn't. PR of the page is only relative measure of page's authority and only little part of PR algorithm is used for ranking. So PR0 site can be before PR6 in SERPs.

    Ideally, if everything is absolutely the same on those 2 sites but PR, then yes, PR6 site will be on top.

    However, because Matt Cutts fighting against links that pass PR to other sites, I can say PR still have significant role in rankings.
