I understand each page on the internet has its own PR score. But I'm curious to this.

    Imagine I'm an ebay seller.

I'm an ebay seller, and I also have my own online store. My online store rankings are bad, but that's because the keywords I look to rank for a crazy difficult. But the same product I have listed on ebay is loads higher in the SERPS than the same product on my online store. In fact it is on page 2. I want it to get to page 1. Can I set up backlinks for that particular ebay product's URL, or optimize the ebay page so that I can actually affect my PR score for my ebay product, and increase its ranking? Or am I just relying and riding on ebay's high DA and authority? Because if I can do some link building to affect how my ebay product ranks in the SERPS, I'm going to do it. I'm just confused as to whether I can actually influence the ranking of this particular page on ebay...

    Help appreciated.

Yes you could in theory sculpt the PR in your pages from the ebay pages, problem is ebay knows this would be a problem so they make all their links no follow, which don't pass PR.

Several ebay sellers have disguised, legal, links to their sites, either by loading a image or by having the url mentioned somewhere on the sales page, from which you can get the contact and circumvent ebay commissions....

Thanks for your response, that answers my questions about ranking the pages on my personal product store. But what about the pages on ebay that have my products?

    Example www . ebay . com/myproductnameIDblahblahblah

Can I theoretically improve the PR of that page so that it appears higher in the SERPS, because it's my product on that page?

Don't forget that ranking isn't a function of page rank anymore...

From what I can tell, it's not even important, but, I don't have the power to calculate the entire interwebs so take that with a grain of salt :)
