    Hi all,

I got a website with PR3 but soonthe PR became 0 . The seller said that its common when we purchase a Dropped site. can some one explain why this happened?

Is there any ways to avoid it?

looks like you been scammed my friend. They were most likely faking the PR.

I bought one recently with a PR of 4. Then did a bit of digging and found that the seller was redirecting the browser to a site with the actual PR.

    type this into google

info:nameofyoursite.com (yes change that to the name of your site)

it will bring up the cache of where google was being redirected to with the PR.

Though this may not work now that google has refreshed the actual PR value of your site.

The redirect is a dirty tactic used to trick you into thinking your buying a site with some PR value.

I'm still pondering how I get my own on this guy that scammed me. He might just see his business 'go offline' in the near future.

As far as i know... pagerank will drop to 0 as the site no longer has good content, but at the next update, it has been said that it will return to its previous state or PR.

I bought a PR4 domain once just for the regfee.

Had no plans for it at that time and let it sit.

2 PR updates later it was PR0.

With the need of getting content on it out of the way I let sit even longer.

The next PR update -> back to PR4...

My advice: just build on it what you were planning to build and see what happens...
