The PR is real, I don't know how but it's a real deal.

    Pass the fake PR check

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/members/222104-junkfood00.html is bullshitting, unless he can provide evidence otherwise.

Or you just look at the source:
    and say that it's 301 to w3.org

    I can see 152 Backlinks here : ahrefs.coxm/site-explorer/overview/subdomains/http%253A%252F%252Fnetmoda.com

Also the domain is 9 yrs old so no wonder its backlink source pages PR got increased thus passing juice to this domain.

The PR is real guys. All it needs to get PR5 is to get just 4 Backlinks from PR6 Domains. This domain got a backlink from homepage of this domain - hbfenn.coxm which is a PR6 Domain. So yeah its a Real PR and not Fake. Don't just look at MajesticSEO for research.

I used this tool http://www.rankchecker.com/ but in the beginning it showed w3.org, the second time it showed schema.org and the third time it showed Valid. Either the tool is unstable or the site is doing some tricks. Or it could also be a Google glitch as with the PR10 site being sold on Flippa.

    Most of you are wrong.

I have real high PR websites ranking really well with few backlinks according to online tools while in reality they have a very strong link profile. There are ways to pass PageRank without being spotted by majestic, opensite or whatever...

Here is what I use and it's rarely wrong and spots fake PR better than any tool I've found

    http://www.pagerankchecker.net/netmoda.com

As for those that say you can have high PR websites without being spotted by online tools - ummm no. That's the equivalent of saying I've got Yankee Stadium in my backyard and nobody knows about it.

If you've got a valid PR5 or higher website you have a whole history behind you as well as a very visible link profile. Even if for some odd reason tools don't find your site, they will definitely find the high PR websites linking to you.

Thought I'd do a WHOIS history check on this domain and the current owner purchased it 06-06-2012 at SEDO. It first went to SEDOPARKING about 02/27/2007 and stayed there until June 2012.

Most likely its PR is from being parked at SEDO for years. It hasn't been active for more than 5 years until the new owner put this page up in June. The PR will disappear after the next Google update. There is nothing to support its PR 5 currently.

well it is 100% true, SmartMan is right.

All you need is 4 PR6 back links and your site WILL be PR5.

Why do people overcomplicate PR so much, just Google PR charts and all the answers are there.

Just because a site has high PR though doesn't mean it has great authority which is more important.

NO links, 17 pages indexed in Google with all internal pages a PR of N/A.

My PR5 site has 65 pages, 2000+ links, many of them PR3+, and all internal pages are PR 3 or 4.

    Looks fake to me.

but there ARE links and some high PR ones at that. Just take a look at the site on Open Site Explorer.

A site only needs a handful of high PR links to also become high PR.
