Hello im testing out a new SEO strategy im working on and i need BHW's advice or views on.

Basically would you rather have a domain with PR 5 but a post (with a backink to your site) with a PR0

    OR

A domain name with PR 0 but a post (with your backlink) at PR 5.

Just wondering what people think about this.

I would go with a domain with PR 5.
Getting to PR 5 takes many good links. Also time.

Good question there. My thinking would be - how did that PR5 page become a PR5 on a PR0 domain?

I would go for the PR5 domain if I am looking long term. Eventually the juice will flow down to the page, and you can build more backlinks to it to help out the PR. I would think the PR5 domain would have a lot more long term stability than a PR0 domain. The PR0 domain may disappear tomorrow, whereas a PR5 domain is probably going to stick around.

I'd take pr 5 page instead of pr 5 domain.

I'll go with page having PR 5, but PR 5 domain with PR 0 page also good for link juice.

I'd rather have domain with PR 5 (not fake obviously). It means that it already has incoming links from several PR 5 pages. PR 5 usually have enough trust to be ranked high even with low-PR anchor backinks.

Sure, link from PR 5 page could bump up a mid-concurrent keyword on a PR 0 site, PR doesn't directly related to SERP position. But with an established PR 5 domain you may bump up more keywords by more or less cheap backinks.
