    Hi!
ppv = pay per view = pay per visit?

I'm looking to monetize websites... so I get paid for 1000 visitors that enter on my website or for 1000 visitors that visits the ads...
I'm reading around and I'm a little confused.

PPV is less expensive than PPC , if you make kick ass ad you can get more clicks then on PPC with same budget

I think PPC would be better then PPV.

PPV you're paying for everyone that views your ad regardless of it they're targeted or not.. I mean I guess it depends on where your ad is and how targeted the userbase is.

but say you were marketing for a dating niche.. and you used a less appealing ad. such as instead of a really attractive chick.. choose an older couple.. so you wouldn't have junk clicks from dudes just seeing a hot chick and blinding clicking.. the people that actually click on the ad would be more targeted and more likely to follow through on your landing page I would assume.

Thanks to all. I'm trying to make money, not spend.
I have some websites with cpc that does not make too much. So, I want to try ppv.

For example one website 8000 unique visitors, 105.000 page views, 40 GB bandwidth $6-$8 from cpc.
ppv will pay me for unique visitors or for page views?

You can choose the number of pops you want for every visitor, if you choose 1 pop per 24/48/72 hours etc, you get unique visitors.

Search in Google for CPM networks. And yes they pay for impressions but the rates are per 1000 impressions, so if they say they pay $3 CPM this mean you get $3 for every 1000 impressions.

I was also confused with PPC and PPV. I think PPC is better because it doesn;t force users to click on or open a pop up.
    I could be wrong

Almost PPV network also pays for PPC. It has two rates for CPC and CPM
